I really hope I can hold onto this

Monday, July 31st, 2017 is my time to SHINE! I'm committing myself to a major change and I think I'm ready for it. Social calendar is cancelled which means less expenses and no drinking. Time to take a big breath and continue on... I'll be starting Focus T25 (I love my Shaun T workouts). 5:45 am every morning (hopefully) I'll be rolling out of bed - yes I'm gross - I'm going to sleep in my workout gear - grab my water and tie up my runners and popping that DVD in. I re-reviewed the Nutrition Guide and I absolutely love when shit is written out for me and I don't have to think twice about a recipe or what I'm going to eat. There are a number of options which is AWESOME so I can pick what I want, and sadly (for Jack) prep for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. Ultimately I want to work out in the morning and do minor cardio after work. But who's to say this will all happen - I'm just baby steppin' so far. My #1 GOAL is to STICK with...

Happy daze and a little self reflection..

Do you ever wake up and just think to yourself - 'Today is going to be a great day'. That was me this morning. And still is - I can't shake this good feeling. Surprisingly when the bus passed me this morning (just as I got to the bus stop), still didn't ruin my mood. I'm just feeling overall, pretty good. This morning I walked a quick 15 minutes before getting into work. As usual, I have to take a picture. The two pictures above = the same river just different angles. I can't wait to hit the trails this weekend - maybe Jack will accompany me and if not, I'll be bugging K-star to get some steps. I think I want to focus more so on weight training then cardio. There are some fit people that only do cardio but they lose their tush, and I like having a big one. Today I'm going to focus on lower body and my obliques. Already this morning I did 150 ankle touches. I want to do 150 more before I leave the office. As for step count currently: 3,621 - onc...

IM BACK BABY!

Hey gym, sorry I haven't been around but this time I want to make it long lasting and for reals. I ALMOST skipped the gym and instead went out with K-star. Thankfully though, she was running late to head to her daughters school to pick her up and it was pissing rain out. Usually when it rains I contemplate for awhile about going to the gym. Constantly thinking of excuses of not to go but not today. I guess I had some fight in me to make it to Good Life. Today's workout: leg day!! I'm pretty proud of myself today because I tend to stick to the machines with weights. I hardly ever step outside my comfort zone and go to the free weights but I had some woman in my brain telling me to try a sumo squat with a dumb bell - just try something new - anything. Oh shoot I forgot to log I did side lunges too (no weights). Dang it. Well, I'm glad I tried something new. It's always going to be a learning experience :) Post gym. Literally.
