Boxing!!

Do you ever get so ticked off you just want to punch something? Me too. All the damn time. Sometimes I'll even punch the wall.. no, not smart at all but it happens.

A friend has been going to Boxing lessons for about a month now (I think) and I always wanted to join but I'm extremely terrified - I'm mostly afraid my form will be incorrect and it will be a one on one experience. Other than that, I'm absolutely pumped! I really hope I enjoy myself because I hear boxing is an INSANE WORKOUT. There's been a Groupon for this place since forever, I always saw it being recommended to me on my account and I figure - about time. I better get my ass in gear!

If I learn the proper form and enjoy it, I'm 100 % sure I'm going to get a dummy or a punching bag and start punching when I'm angry. I already checked out prices - expensive - of course for the good quality and cheap for crappy bags that will break in no time. I hope it's all upper body though and not lower body - I get enough leg workouts from Hip Hop Abs and walking to and from work.

With boxing aside let me update you on food so far today:
Breakfast: 1/2 banana - I don't know what's up with my body but the sugar content is crazy. I couldn't finish my banana - stomach hurt shortly after.
Lunch: leftover chilli topped with Greek yogurt and green onions - I can't even finish it. I'm so full already ... amazing how water is so filling.

I haven't been able to get up in the morning for a workout - and it's literally killing me inside. I really want to do those double days of workouts but I just cant. My head is always glued to the pillow and I tell myself "just 10 more minutes" about 5 x and before you know it, I have to leave in 10 minutes otherwise I'm late for work. Is it me? Is it the food I've been eating or the weather? It's already Friday so I don't have to wake up early tomorrow but I am going to wake up for 8 am, do a quick ab sculpt, breakfast and get ready for that boxing lesson.

As for today's workout - because of the rain, I most likely will not be walking after work but I will definitely work in a Total Body Burn and Fat Burning Cardio - hopefully Kristina won't come over before I'm done!

On a side note - you know what's crazy? The one day I forget to check the weather in the morning, it rains. Badly. I left my home and shortly after it starts spitting rain. I kept thinking to call Jack since it's his day off to come get me and take me to work - but it's only a 20 minute walk and it wasn't raining hard. So I continued my trek to work. Halfway through my walk it is POURING RAIN and again, I think to myself, "maybe I should stop, wait in the bus shelter and call Jack" but in the very VERY far distance I could see my work. It was only 10 minutes away. I pulled my sweater and draped it over my head and continued walking. I was soaked by the time I got home. Who called me? My boss aka my brother offering a ride.

Lesson from my story: always keep an umbrella in your bag because it's better to be prepared then not prepared at all. Any who - time to check my social media and then back to work. Stay tuned!

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Sleeping.

I feel like I've always taken advantage of sleep. The power of sleep - not one of life's wonders. You get a good night sleep, you're able to function properly the next day. I never truly appreciated the act of sleep until last night. I'm in bed roughly by 9 pm maybe 9:30 pm and I'm a light sleeper. (perfect mom quality might I add) Jack on the other hand goes to bed around 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm. He admitted he has FOMO - F ear O f M issing O ut but in regards to TV / Facebook videos so he's up watching something so that's the reason why he doesn't go to bed at the same time as me. Well last night the Leaf game was on - and I can only assume that they lost because I didn't hear any screaming at the TV then again I didn't hear anger either and Jack's pretty loud when it comes to Leaf games (major hockey fan). I only heard around 11:19 pm that he was heading to bed. And then the loud breathing started. I can't really tell if it'...

Exhausted.

I am definitely feeling the after affects of eating crappy foods. Do you ever feel oddly tired? Especially since you're well rested and haven't over worked your body..? That's me right now. Although it's not odd at all. I noticed when I eat foods that have little to zero nutritional value my body reacts in a sluggish state. Over the weekend I indulged to a point where I just feel exhausted. I'm staring at the computer blogging and I can barely keep my eyes open . It's lunch time thank goodness so I could take a nap if I wanted to. However, that would be such a tease to my eyes and mental state. Today started off super frustrating as my co-worker did not show up. Generally Monday's are insanely busy. The office is closed on Fridays so we have messages from Thursday evening all the way up until Sunday night. The number of messages ranges between 20-40 and usually 30 (or so) fax messages. Returning those messages alone while having the phones ringing in ...
