Saturday vibes

Might I just say what a babe I looked like on Saturday. Generally I don't wear make up, do my hair or really put much effort into the way I look but I was feeling it on Saturday. Woke up early, put some make up on, did a quick abdomen session and then hauled my ass to work to train my replacement!! Jack and I were supposed to go to dinner as well but he was feeling under the weather. That's okay though, it gave me time to enjoy some wine and make many different dips for Sunday's mothers day - and a greek yogurt fruit bark too!

Saturday after the training.

DAMN GIRL.

Check out my stomach. And my forearms now that I'm noticing. I've always had a bigger  upper body and tiny legs so I sort of look deformed lol but lately I've been doing more weights upper body so hoping the fat will just slide off my body. Hoping and crossing my fingers. So as you can see I was doing my tri's and bi's plus obliques and some cardio.

Yay me for finally learning about my body and how it can take to change. Cardio is not the answer my friends, it's all about the weights.

And it's a good time to learn too since my 30th birthday is a week and a half away. Omg. Jack just booked our weekend getaway in Niagara Falls so I'm hoping to shed some more fat / skin / weight whatever. Okay I take that back, I don't care about weight because it's just a number but I would be happier if I was a tiny bit smaller. Either way I'm still happy with my progress and my journey so far.
#trustthejourney

As usual, stay tuned!

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Rant on perfumes / cologne

Found this rant in my iPhone notebook: Ladies. Why do you bathe in perfume? Some men do it too but I had to bring it up for a little rant because I was just outside walking to the bus stop and all I could smell was perfume and I was still 10 or 15 steps away. There was a woman waiting in the shelter. Decked out as if she was going downtown to pick up an older man in the financial district. Either that or she works in a top notch hair salon... I can't even make a joke properly because my head is still fuzzy from that smell. When I am in a closed space and someone sprays perfume (an abundance of it) I get light headed accompanied by a headache. It's not fun at all. I'm not the only one either which is the reason why most gym change rooms have signs not allowing perfumes to be sprayed. Same with certain departments in the hospital. Nurses shouldn't wear perfume because of the contact with some patients. Anyways, all I'm saying is - even though YOU can't ...
