AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

Today is one of the final days I work with my boss and this office. This is actually the last day I'll be working along side my boss in person. The final Tuesday clinic.. dun dun dun..

We are extremely over booked so today will go by fast and I wanted to pop on while I'm ahead. First patient is scheduled not until 8:45 am so this gives me a chance to update on nutrition and working out.

Lately I have been eating fairly well - mostly protein and vegetables and A TON of avocado. Jack and I started eating 1/2 an avocado a day and it's been splendid. Saturday rolled around and I made scrambled eggs and instead of eating it plain (as I had planned) I smashed an avocado and put the egg and avocado into a wrap. I was full 1/2 way through. Tossed it in the fridge and then forgot about it. Boo urns what a waste. Aw well.

As for working out as promised I have been focusing more on weights rather than cardio and it has been doing wonders for my body. I visibly have less flab on my arms and my stomach is toning (only I am noticing at the moment).

This morning I woke up 20 minutes earlier and worked out my triceps and biceps with:
5 sets of 10 with a 5 lb dumb bell (the next highest dumb bell is 25 lb)
- bicep curl (twice)
- tricep dips
- tricep teapot dips
- tricep curl

okay maybe I worked out my triceps harder but I don't know any bicep exercises other than the curl. Time to venture off! I have another blog that's a draft I should get to but before I do today's nutrition as follows (y'know to stay accountable and what not):
Breakfast: 12 grain bagel from Tim Hortons, double toasted with a scrape of butter
Snack / lunch: 1/2 cucumber sliced, homemade guacamole, regular tortilla chips, protein shake
Dinner: The celebration dinner - salad / wings/ beer.

But will see when the time comes. Stay tuned!!

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Sleeping.

I feel like I've always taken advantage of sleep. The power of sleep - not one of life's wonders. You get a good night sleep, you're able to function properly the next day. I never truly appreciated the act of sleep until last night. I'm in bed roughly by 9 pm maybe 9:30 pm and I'm a light sleeper. (perfect mom quality might I add) Jack on the other hand goes to bed around 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm. He admitted he has FOMO - F ear O f M issing O ut but in regards to TV / Facebook videos so he's up watching something so that's the reason why he doesn't go to bed at the same time as me. Well last night the Leaf game was on - and I can only assume that they lost because I didn't hear any screaming at the TV then again I didn't hear anger either and Jack's pretty loud when it comes to Leaf games (major hockey fan). I only heard around 11:19 pm that he was heading to bed. And then the loud breathing started. I can't really tell if it'...
