Livin the gym life

Okay so I didn't wake up super early yesterday but I still went to the gym after work and it was great. And you know what? Surprisingly my arms aren't a whole lot of mush. Because after lifting weights yesterday and chillen on the stationary bike, my arms were just slowly moving to my side and did not want to lift again.

Yesterday was all about the biceps and triceps
5 sets of 10
- Bicep curl: 10 lb dumb bell
- teapot dips: 10 lb DB (3 sets), 7.5 lb (2 sets)
- tricep dips: 10 lb Db
- bicep curl: 12.5 lb db (1 set)

Machines
- biceps curl: 15 lb (2 sets), 20 lb (3 sets)
- tricep extension: 40 lb (1 set), 30 lb (4 sets)

+ 10 minutes on the stationary bike

Using a 10 lb dumb bell for my dips instead of 7.5 was HARD.
Some woman was using the dumb bells I needed and instead of waiting or rushing her workout I decided to murder my arms and try for the 10 lb.. I mean it was only 2.5 lb difference but holy shit what a difference it made!! I'm almost contemplating continuing with 10 lb dumb bells and doing less reps... or would I bulk? I don't even know.

Lunch break I also did a 60 minute walk / jog and it was exhilarating. I doubt I should be doing that much cardio today especially since tomorrow I'm going to walk to dinner (roughly 70 minutes) and then walk home after - it's a buffet. So I do not want to feel guilty. Which I already do...

So I brought my Hip Hop Abs DVD to work today. I'm going to work on Ab Sculpt - and I've decided to keep doing this workout every 3 days because I don't really work out my abdomen like I should. Before I forget, this morning I also did 200 abdomen assisted crunches - I wanted to do more but my abs were burning. It's been a week since I did some sort of abdomen / core session. As for what I've been eating, that will be for my next blog. Stay tuned!

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Rant on perfumes / cologne

Found this rant in my iPhone notebook: Ladies. Why do you bathe in perfume? Some men do it too but I had to bring it up for a little rant because I was just outside walking to the bus stop and all I could smell was perfume and I was still 10 or 15 steps away. There was a woman waiting in the shelter. Decked out as if she was going downtown to pick up an older man in the financial district. Either that or she works in a top notch hair salon... I can't even make a joke properly because my head is still fuzzy from that smell. When I am in a closed space and someone sprays perfume (an abundance of it) I get light headed accompanied by a headache. It's not fun at all. I'm not the only one either which is the reason why most gym change rooms have signs not allowing perfumes to be sprayed. Same with certain departments in the hospital. Nurses shouldn't wear perfume because of the contact with some patients. Anyways, all I'm saying is - even though YOU can't ...
