How could something so sticky be so good?

An apple.
I hate when my hands feel so sticky after eating an apple. It's not even like you have to fully wash your hands after just a drip drop of water and you are good.

You thought I was going to refer to something dirty, didn't you? Dirt migirt. I know K-star was thinking I was... gross.

So this was my lunch: Roasted peppers and onions, cheddar cheese, arugula, chicken, and avocado in an ancient grains wrap. No mustard. No mayonnaise. Just simple ingredients and it was delicious! Sometimes I over complicate things and try to make it into the most extravagant meal and it comes out absolutely disgusting. But this right here is the best meal I've had in a long time.

I enjoy the simple life. I like to appreciate the little things. And damn am I ever enjoying this simple wrap. Did I forget to mention that I don't even like avocado? Just last week I didn't know how to purchase one and now I'm adding it to my lunch!

Not that I'm crazy for avocados or anything but I also added 1/4 (of a half) so I guess 1/8th of an avocado to flaked tuna and mayo. I'm now going to put this shit on everything.

So today is day 10. What does that mean? Well nothing anymore really. I had some cracks and fck ups so I've "broken" these days up but whatever. I am being healthIER than I was before. I'm not perfect. Yesterday we went out after work to a pub and a comedy show. After a couple frustrating days - what with the transition into a new job and the way my employer reacted, I would have to say a beer - or two or maybe four (yes I had four) were needed. I was supposed to only have one but whoopsie daisies.

Still haven't been to the gym this week. We got home a little before 11 o'clock and I don't know about you but I've only gone to the gym in the morning once after having 4-5 hours of sleep. That shit is once in a life time and I had to take TWO doses of pre workout to survive the work day before passing out at 6 pm. I'm lucky I didn't pass out on the bus and get robbed in the process.

Anyways, I wanted to stay accountable and admit the defeat of yesterday. Plus I think my period is coming so I was in a foul mood. For dinner I also had a turkey stack - whole wheat bread with avocado, chiptole (I know I spelled this wrong but auto correct is being a bitch and won't tell me how to spell it - in the words of Stephanie from Full House, "how rude!")  mayo, turkey, lettuce and tomato with french fries and a side order of gross gravy - it tasted like roasted mushrooms and I hate mushrooms. That cheat day was not worth it. I should have held in my cheat and had it at Wild Wing instead. Oh well.

Today on my lunch I walked around a track 3 x and then walked back to work. 55 minutes of cardio and I most likely will go for a second walk (hopefully) with K-star and her human. As for food so far today I have had: a handful of mixed unsalted nuts, a dose of pre workout, the wrap and an apple. So far so good! I better get back to work. Stay tuned.

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Phew. Really dodged a bullet there.

PRAISE THE LORD. Hallelujah! I was so prepared to blog earlier today about how nervous I was regarding this afternoon. I had a killer workout / training session planned with a friend and it was just confirmed that it's cancelled and we both rescheduled for next Wednesday. Just thinking about it was giving me an anxiety attack (okay that was far fetched) but it gave me the sweats! This woman was training with a Personal Trainer at GoodLife Fitness so the workouts are intense and now she makes her own loosely based on the PT she had prior. She was afraid to tell me what part of the body we would workout because she thought I would cancel! I'm always up for the challenge I'm just terrified of trying new things (alone). If I have a partner or someone there with me, it's not so bad but doing something new without any guidance and possibly "failing" .. I'm not into. Speaking of trying something new, I'm 99.9 % sure I'm going to try boxing. There'...
