New week, New goals

HAPPY MONDAY!

This weeks goals include:
- Early morning gym sessions (5:45 am ) at least 3 x this week
- Eat 90 % clean
- 13,000 steps per day OR a grand total Monday - Friday to reach 65,000 steps.

I also want to start writing down one area on my body that I admire. Have you ever noticed that women are super hard on themselves? Like seriously. WHY! How is it that women are never satisfied? I have a double chin / my butts too big/ i can't lose this gut. UGH I'm so ugly etc. No one is perfect. It really bothers me sometimes listening to women talk crap about themselves. I would be completely lying if I were to say I don't do that to myself. But one thing I'm realizing is that you aren't supposed to look a certain way. You are made uniquely because everyone wasn't meant to look the same or act the same etc.

My mom used to always remind me "wouldn't life be boring if everyone looked the same" and yes mom, it's true. It would be so very boring. I can't imagine a world where everyone looked the same - unless we lived in a robot world.

So far today I have been pretty good with nutrition.
Breakfast: (2) carrot / zucchini muffins
Lunch: Brown rice with soya sauce, roasted garlic potatoes and asparagus
.. wheres the protein right?
As for dinner I plan on having a protein shake + a small bowl of vegetarian stew. And to bed early because I'll be going to the gym for 5:45 am

Exercise: Today I went for a walk on my lunch 50 minutes. So far I'm just under 8,000 steps. Hopefully I can get in extra steps later and if not definitely tomorrow morning at the gym. Stay tuned..

UPDATE!
Ended the day with 9,766 steps and had steak for dinner. Indulged in some white bread and butter then had a mixed green salad, steak, asparagus, green beans and red pepper. And split this beautiful dessert of a warm brownie with ice cream with my friend.

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Rant on perfumes / cologne

Found this rant in my iPhone notebook: Ladies. Why do you bathe in perfume? Some men do it too but I had to bring it up for a little rant because I was just outside walking to the bus stop and all I could smell was perfume and I was still 10 or 15 steps away. There was a woman waiting in the shelter. Decked out as if she was going downtown to pick up an older man in the financial district. Either that or she works in a top notch hair salon... I can't even make a joke properly because my head is still fuzzy from that smell. When I am in a closed space and someone sprays perfume (an abundance of it) I get light headed accompanied by a headache. It's not fun at all. I'm not the only one either which is the reason why most gym change rooms have signs not allowing perfumes to be sprayed. Same with certain departments in the hospital. Nurses shouldn't wear perfume because of the contact with some patients. Anyways, all I'm saying is - even though YOU can't ...
