I HAD MY CHEAT MEAL AND IT WAS GLORIOUS.

LEGIT.
Glorious is the most perfect way to describe my cheat meal. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was and it feels like I didn't even eat that much.. but thinking back I did.

Let's get started with the beginning of my day - I will be combining nutrition with my workout:

In the morning I had a protein shake (breakfast), couple hours later I had my leftover baked sweet potato (that was seasoned with paprika, cinnamon and the skin had salt / pepper and EVOO), A couple hours later I had 2 clementines.. which didn't really fill me up so shortly after I had my stuffed pepper - completely vegetarian I might add. =)

Kristina was in the office cleaning so once 1:30 pm rolled around I scooted her out and we went on a nice walk. We tried to play Pokemon Go but there was some stupid update. WHY. Omg so annoying - but you know for those of you who don't play it's a great way to get those steps / exercise in while having fun. Just make sure to pack your charger because it kills your battery life and uses data.

The moment I came back into the office I was starving, found a chocolate chip cookie dough protein bar and ate the whole thing! Usually I eat half but I was like borderline HANGRY. Then I realized I forgot about my raisin bran muffin.. poor little fella. I won't forget about him today. So the protein bar kept me full well into my workout - 20 minutes on the treadmill (incline 7.0 at speed 3.4) plus I worked out my lower body as follows:
4 sets of 8-
Hip Abduction: 90 lb
Hip Adduction: 1 set at 120 lb, 3 set at 125 lb (didn't realize how strong my legs are getting)
Leg extension: 50 lb

and drum roll please! NEW PR (personal record) for horizontal calf!!!!
4 sets of 130 lb + an additional 4 sets at 135 lb!

Did I forget to mention this was yesterday? And my legs feel great today.. not sore at all not even my little quads and those babes are always sore.

By the time I was done my workout I was hungry again and I was in the mood for pancakes, wings, chinese food.. random. I know. Lady time is approaching and that's usually when I give in to what I want (just once though). So I'M SORRY KRISTINA BUT I WENT TO MONGOLIAN GRILL! I told her I would wait for a Friday for lunch but I had to. My lady time craved it and needed it!

For those of you who are unaware Mongolian Grill is my all time favourite restaurant. It's every fat person's dream (and non fat people's dreams). It's a combination of a buffet of chinese food and a grill where they make your food in front of you.

The grill offers raw meat, vegetables, noodles, oil, sauces, and ingredients like minced ginger, lemon water, sesame seeds, chilis, liquid ginger etc anything you want you add it to a bowl (and make sure to over fill the bowl) and then they cook it in less than 5 minutes!

Separate buffet includes (and not limited to) various salads, dumplings, spring rolls, chicken wings, fried rice, lo mein, shu mai, CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN, ice cream, fruit and this philipino station that has different add ins (I haven't tried it yet so I can't say much about it but my sister in law loves it). Apparently it's nostalgic.

With all that being said this is what I ate:
First off I went to the grill, I chose - chicken, zucchini, carrots, corn, bean sprouts, broccoli and lo mein noodles with the teriyaki sauce (they make it) with minced garlic, liquid ginger and sesame seeds. It was so damn hot! So I added on top - bourbon chicken, garlic broccoli, deep fried chicken wings and general tao chicken.

It was STILL too hot to eat and I burnt my tongue twice. So I got up again with my piping hot food and added some white rice with a chicken ball, more garlic broccoli and some pepper beef. Then I finished my bowl. Last plate I had was a BBQ rib, cesar salad (which was sadly mushy so I didn't eat it all), a spring roll (let's be honest it's a damn shame to have it without plum sauce) omg now I'm hungry just thinking about it again.. ughhh.. shoot what else did I have oh and another chicken wing.

Dessert I had a few of these heavenly tiger brownies (1/2 cookie, 1/2 brownie with a hint of coconut) + 2 pieces of honeydew, strawberries and I dipped 1 strawberry in the chocolate fountain. I also had a tiny bowl of cookies n' cream ice cream. Either my senses are failing me or that ice cream is not as good as I once thought it was. Or maybe I'm just no longer an ice cream kind of gal.

Either way the food was better than the dessert - although who's to say that natural fruit is bad right? It was a cheat meal and I tried to incorporate healthier choices. I can't feel guilty because I at least went to the gym before hand and got in a good sweat. Today is a new day and I will be eating right, working out my upper body + abdomen and I am going to feel AMAZING. Until next time.. stay tuned.

Update on goals

Hello again. It's meeee... 🙃 Okay so goal 1 ✔️ Completed Speed 1.0 with mama bear. I completed the day with 10,162 steps. My dessert was literally a sliver of cake (sister called it a crumb) haha with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, few strawberries and walnuts. And I made a low carb lasagna and guess what? It was a huge success! So my mom makes this beautiful hollandaise based lasagna with chicken and asparagus. I took it upon myself to grad 1/2 cauliflower head and grated the stems of broccoli as my base. Did a layer of the sauce, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, cheese, and added (4) spinach noodles for texture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and BOOM. Magic was born. Other lasagnas for the family included turkey with tomato sauce, and then (2) variations of the hollandaise other than my own- one with broccoli and the other asparagus. I was absolutely thrilled to find out mine was a success. Especially since I thought it was going to be like soup. Don't forget that when ...

Updates and Basil, Cilantro, Garlic Bread

I realize I haven't blogged in quite some time. Here's some updates since my last blog: - I moved - It wasn't my choice but it had to be done. The lady that owned our condo wanted us to buy it or leave. So we left (there were way too many things to be fixed and wasn't worth our time, energy and money). Now I live in the basement of my mother in law's home with my boyfriend, Jack. - I no longer consume animals or animal by products. I'm 90% vegan and I say 90 % because I cannot consume vegan cheese. Has anyone ever tried it? IT'S LEGIT THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. I eat cheddar cheese (only) once, twice or three times a month. So let's get down to business, to the reason why I made you come to this entry on my blog. The main way I cook in this basement is with my slow cooker. I came across a recipe on Pinterest for Vegan basil pesto bread which obviously sounds delicious. *Word to the non - vegans, pesto contains parmesan. There was a recipe to make vegan...

Phew. Really dodged a bullet there.

PRAISE THE LORD. Hallelujah! I was so prepared to blog earlier today about how nervous I was regarding this afternoon. I had a killer workout / training session planned with a friend and it was just confirmed that it's cancelled and we both rescheduled for next Wednesday. Just thinking about it was giving me an anxiety attack (okay that was far fetched) but it gave me the sweats! This woman was training with a Personal Trainer at GoodLife Fitness so the workouts are intense and now she makes her own loosely based on the PT she had prior. She was afraid to tell me what part of the body we would workout because she thought I would cancel! I'm always up for the challenge I'm just terrified of trying new things (alone). If I have a partner or someone there with me, it's not so bad but doing something new without any guidance and possibly "failing" .. I'm not into. Speaking of trying something new, I'm 99.9 % sure I'm going to try boxing. There'...
