So far so good. It's 2:30 pm and there hasn't been snow as of yet. I just got back from my afternoon walk (and walked in and around the office) and I'm feeling good.
Currently: 8,160 steps.
Completed my morning routine of abdomen (200 assisted crunches) and obliques (150 ankle touches). Walked with Kristina and might I add, against the wind for roughly 40 minutes. My face is feeling a bit of heat as the sensation comes back. It felt like a winter day outside but the moment I came inside, I could feel the sweat roll down my back like a hot, summer's day. I can't wait for the summer. I'm not hoping for that super hot day where there's no wind at your back - more so the kind of day where there's a hint of a breeze and but yet you can still wear shorts and a light sweater / thick T-shirt. Does that make sense?

First meal of the day: Long grain rice mixed with my santa fe chicken. I'm almost positive this is the last of my leftovers. In case you are wondering, why it's the first meal of the day well.. it's because I decided to add Intermittent Fasting into my weekly routine. The last time I visited my family GP he advised that because I'm so worried about my weight and the chance of getting diabetes I should slowly work in IF into my diet.
Last week I was sick with a cold so I was pretty much fasting (and unable to eat) for 5 days when I was sick so I just figured, why not give it a go. Plus I'm a bit tired of patients asking "when are you due?". And that awkward response, "I'm not pregnant, I just have a gut". I don't know how to take it sometime. Sure, I have chicken legs (kind of thin with some meat), my arms aren't too bad and I have a tiny waist but my stomach just flops out like a food baby. In retrospect when I think my arms are gross and my legs and all parts of my body it's really not. When it comes down to it, my worst part of the body that I need to change is my belly. Intermittent fasting is a safe way to lose weight and gain lean muscle. Thumbs up! Let's see how this goes. This is my second day of the week (I'm only doing twice a week for now) of IF. Maybe this new routine will change my relationship with food.
PS: I literally just got off the phone with an elderly patient and she asked me "are you the secretary that's pregnant because I was in a couple weeks ago". If you saw my coworker, she's build like Kim Kardashian.. there's no way this patient was referring to her. #boo
